Ambient Lighting Concealed Within an Architectural Profile

Stucco profiles for indirect lighting conceal the LED strip and turn light into a soft line directed towards the wall or ceiling. Depending on the model, a profile can also serve as a curtain pelmet, a cable channel or a support for direct LED spotlights without extensive plasterboard work.

Mouldings for indirect lighting conceal the LED strip behind a shaped edge, allowing the light to reflect towards the ceiling or wall. This creates an even ambient glow and a clean transition without exposing the light source.

Wall and ceiling models can be installed directly below the ceiling, lower on the wall, as a curtain profile or as part of an illuminated ceiling feature. The position of the profile determines the direction and intensity of the lighting effect.

The ambient light line can use a single-colour or RGB LED strip with compatible power and controls. The selected components must fit the intended channel and remain accessible for servicing.

The 3-in-1 profiles combine space for wiring, openings for direct LED spotlights, a channel for an indirect LED strip and the finished decorative moulding in a single element. Cable routes, power supplies and service access must be planned before installation.

The LED channel and internal reflective aluminium layer help direct the light and prevent it from showing through the profile. Only low-heat LED light sources may be used, and all wiring and power supplies must be installed by a qualified professional.

Safe Installation

Planning LED Lighting and Electrical Work

Define the positions of the LED strip, spotlights, cables, drivers and service access before bonding and finishing the profiles.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

The profiles are made from XPS and are used as decorative mouldings, LED-strip shades, cable-routing elements or housings for the specified LED spotlights. Electrical preparation must match the intended use of the selected model before installation.

High-Heat Lighting Is Strictly Prohibited

For direct lighting, use only 3 to 5 W GU10 LED bulbs (220–240 V). Do not install halogen lamps or any other light source that generates high temperatures. LED panels may be used only with high-quality, correctly rated and protected drivers.

Properly Insulated Electrical Wiring

All wiring, connections and circuits must be properly insulated, protected and arranged to remain accessible for safe servicing.

LED Panels Only in Profiles Designed for Them

An LED panel may only be installed in a profile designed for that purpose. Its driver must be high quality, correctly rated, protected and installed in a dry, service-accessible location.

Planning Before Profile Installation

Define the position of the LED strip, spotlights, wiring, driver and service opening before the stucco is fixed and finished.

Poor-Quality Drivers Can Cause a Fire!

Use only high-quality, correctly rated and protected drivers. Installation and connection must be carried out by a qualified professional in accordance with applicable standards.

Responsibility for Installation and Electrical Work

Michelangelo d.o.o. Čakovec accepts no responsibility for the installation or use of light fittings in profiles from its product range, or for damage caused by improper installation, faulty or poorly insulated wiring, unsuitable light fittings or poor-quality drivers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about profiles for indirect LED lighting

What are the profiles for indirect LED lighting for?

Profiles for indirect LED lighting hide the LED strip and create a soft light against the wall, ceiling, niche or curtain zone. They are a good choice when you want a clean decorative transition without a visible light source.

Should the electricity be planned before mounting the profile?

Yes, the position of the LED strip, cable, power supply and switch should be agreed upon before making and mounting the profile. Electrical work should be carried out by a professional.

Can the LED profiles hide the cornice or cables?

In many cases, they can help to hide the edge of the curtain, the cables or the transition to the ceiling, but this should be planned according to the actual depth of the profile and the space available for installations.

Which LED strip to choose for decorative profiles?

The choice of LED strip depends on the desired light intensity, color warmth and cooling method. Michelangelo can prepare the profile and position of the lighting, and the final selection and connection of the lighting should be coordinated with the electrician.

Can the LED strip be replaced later?

Yes, if the driver, connections and LED strip remain accessible for service. Access must be planned before the profile is closed and painted.

Are you planning hidden LED lighting in the profile?

Provide approximate lengths, room height and the type of profile you need. For LED profiles, the power supply position and desired direction of light are also important.
