Objects That Combine the Look of Wood, Function and Craftsmanship

Decorative wood is not limited to beams and cladding. It can be shaped into shelves, side tables, mirror frames, planters, lamps and other functional pieces whose form and dimensions are tailored to their purpose and setting.

We handcraft unique decorative-wood art and functional pieces, including lamps, shelves, coffee tables, mirror frames, fireplace surrounds, planters, benches and other made-to-order items.

Every item is made to order. Its shape, dimensions, texture, colour, edges, openings and fittings are tailored to the object’s function and the space in which it will be used.

A lightweight core creates volume that would be very heavy in solid timber. The surface is shaped and painted by hand to evoke aged wood, a hand-hewn beam, a weathered board or a more restrained contemporary texture.

For tables, shelves, benches and other functional pieces, supports, expected loads, contact surfaces and cleaning and maintenance requirements are defined before production.

Frequently Asked Questions

What belongs to wood and art elements?

This group includes special decorative pieces with wood texture, shelves, frames, rustic surfaces, themed details, elements around the fireplace and other pieces that do not fit into a standard paneling or beam.

Can an art element be made according to a photo or sketch?

Yes, the starting point can be a photograph, a hand sketch, a description of an idea or an example of a texture. Before production, the dimensions, relief depth, color, mounting method and expected function of the element are defined.

Are art elements only decorative or can they be useful?

They can be only decorative, but also useful if it is planned from the beginning. Shelves, frames and similar elements should have a clear purpose, expected load and a suitable method of fastening.

How to choose the color and texture of the wood?

Color and texture are chosen according to the space, floors, furniture and the desired impression. It is useful to send references: rustic, dark, light, old wood, calmer modern texture or a completely special effect.

Can a damaged finish be repaired?

Minor damage can usually be repaired and retinted locally. A more durable finish is recommended on frequently touched elements.

Do you have an idea for a custom-made wooden art element?
